Winners and judges of the 2016 J-pop Anime Singing Contest with Koala March mascot and Doraemon and Friends


The Japan Information and Culture Center is now accepting entries for the 2017 J-pop Anime Singing Contest.

Open to all Filipino amateur singers of all ages, the contest aims to continue in promoting friendship and cultural exchange between the Philippines and Japan through music.

Contest Mechanics:
1.) Participants may perform as a solo, duet or duo only.
2.) Participants may choose any J-pop or anime songs in Japanese by a Japanese artist for their performance.
3.) Participants may play a musical instrument, or perform with a minus-one musical background.

Entry Requirements:
• Duly-accomplished J-pop Anime Singing Contest Application Form.
• Individual/group photo.
• Short write-up about the performer/s.
• A detailed description of the chosen song (i.e. artist, title and lyrics).
• Video of performance: 1 or 2 songs. Maximum length: three minutes. Upload your video to YouTube then provide the link to the video where indicated on the form.

All the requirements must be emailed to: jicc-mnl@ma.mofa.go.jp on or before May 31, 2017.

Chosen entries will compete in the 2017 J-pop Anime Singing Contest Grand Finals on July 2017 at an SM Mall (final date and venue to be announced).
