Ambassador and Madame Haneda meet with Sarah Geronimo at their residence

Japanese Ambassador Koji Haneda and his wife, Madame Ihoko Haneda, welcomed outstanding Filipino artist Ms. Sarah Geronimo and members of her retinue on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Ambassador’s official residence. They spoke of Ms. Geronimo’s upcoming performance as Philippine Representative to the 2nd ASEAN-Japan Music Festival set to be held on October 4, 2018 at the NHK Hall, Tokyo, Japan.

During the meeting, Ambassador Haneda offered words of encouragement for Ms. Geronimo, highlighting the importance of her participation in achieving the event’s objectives namely, to celebrate the close relations between Japan and ASEAN and to build even stronger connections among these nations. Ms. Geronimo, on the other hand, expressed happiness and excitement over her selection and presentation.

“ASEAN-Japan Music Festival” is part of this year’s line-up of activities organized to mark the 45th Anniversary of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation. The event will be bringing together top performing artists from all ASEAN member states and Japan for a night of great music and camaraderie.
