Japanese Ambassador Koji Haneda paid a visit to the San Roque Power Corporation (SRPC) site in Pangasinan last 03 October 2018.

Managed by Marubeni Corporation and Kansai Electric Power Company Ltd., the SRPC is an amazing product of Japanese-Filipino partnership, with a pondage of 800 million cubic meters, a basin area of 6000kms, and the ability to provide 1 billion kWh per year.

Aside from providing electricity, it also provides year-round irrigation to 21,000 hectares of Pangasinan’s farmlands, helps counter the river’s flooding, and improves water quality. SRPC also has several CSR programs in place to help surrounding communities. In these ways, the SRPC has been contributing to the Filipino people for over 15 years.

SRPC’s efforts in this site are seen to further sustainable economic growth in the country, and will make the lives of Filipinos even more comfortable for generations.
