Ambassador Haneda Gives a Presentation at the 45th Philippine Business Conference

On October 17th, Ambassador Haneda attended the 45th Philippine Business Conference and Expo (45th PBC&E) and gave a presentation on “Japan-Philippines Partnership in the Golden Age” to an audience of more than 800 people at the Manila Hotel. 
 
 

Ambassador Haneda explained the advantages of “quality infrastructure” in relation to Japan’s support for building infrastructure with emphasis on disaster risk reduction and transportation projects, and affirmed that Japan is ensuring quality and speedy implementation to support President Duterte’s “Build, Build, Build” program.  
 
Moreover, Ambassador Haneda disclosed that Japan’s public and private sectors are joining hands in developing the huge potential of Filipino workers, and forging closer people-to-people ties in tourism.  He also stated that Japan contributes to the peace and stability in the Philippines through various assistances for Mindanao and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
 
On a much lighter note, Ambassador Haneda lauded Carlos Yulo for winning a gold medal at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, and for qualifying in the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He also invited everyone to come and experience Japanese culture through the first ever “Japan Fiesta” which will be held at the SMX Convention Center Aura on November 9th and 10th.
