Ambassador Haneda pays courtesy call on General Noel S. Clement

On 19 November, Ambassador Haneda paid a courtesy call on General Noel S. Clement, Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Ambassador Haneda and Gen. Clement touched upon issues such as upcoming defense equipment cooperation (TC-90, UH-1H spare parts), Japan’s support in Mindanao, and the AFP’s efforts on security in Mindanao.

General Clement expressed appreciation that the donated Japanese defense equipment were useful for AFP. And ambassador Haneda conveyed our recognition of the importance and progress of the defense cooperation between the Japan Self-Defense Forces  and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
