Ambassador HANEDA Koji welcomed renowned J-Pop producer Mr. KOMURO Tetsuya, DEAR ME founder, Ms. NISHIGAWA Ayumi, and their companions at his office on February 10, 2020. They discussed about DEAR ME’s efforts to encourage Filipino street children to develop a passion for fashion design.

DEAR ME, a non-profit organization founded by Ms. NISHIGAWA in 2015, supports Filipino street children, especially from Payatas, Quezon City, by teaching them the basics of fashion design and modeling. Through the slogan “Draw your dreams on the runway,” DEAR ME continues to inspire them to build their dreams through fashion.

Mr. KOMURO and Ms. NISHIGAWA shared their enthusiasm in expanding DEAR ME’s activities in the Philippines, noting the success of their recently-concluded 7th Fashion Show held at Circuit Makati last Saturday, February 8.
