Awarding Ceremony for Ambassador Commendation

On April 12th, Ambassador KOSHIKAWA Kazuhiko hosted a ceremony at his residence for the Ambassador Commendation to the four people below:

The Commendation was given in recognition of Mr. Inomata and Atty. Zuniega’s continuous efforts and contributions in improving the status of Nikkei-jin in the Philippines and enhancing mutual understanding between Japan and the Philippines through the activities of the Philippine Nikkei-jin Legal Support Center. Also, Atty. Zuniega has been dedicated to smoothly facilitating the activities of Japanese enterprises and residents in the Philippines for several years.

Mrs. Sanchez has been working for the National Power Corporation since 1983, and from 1999 she has been dutifully involved in maintaining and managing the Japanese Garden in Cavinti, Laguna. She has exerted efforts to promote understanding and friendly relations between Japan and the Philippines.
Mrs. Cecilia E. J. Aquino, former employee of Japan Foundation, Manila
The Commendation was given in recognition of Ms. Aquino’s continuous efforts and contributions in enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and the Philippines. She has exemplified a career dedicated to promoting various aspects of Japanese culture and language to the Philippines. Prior to working at the JFM, Mrs. Aquino was part of the Japan Information and Culture Center of the Embassy of Japan.
