Ambassador Endo pays courtesy call on DENR Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga


On 30 May 2024, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya paid a courtesy call on Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga. 

During the meeting, Ambassador Endo conveyed Japanese support for the Philippine environment sector. He also conveyed his eagerness to realize the two countries’ collaboration in the environmental and mineral resource field based on the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in 2023. 

Ambassador ENDO also expressed Japan’s support for the various environmental concerns such GHG reduction and waste disposal. Further, he underscored the importance of creating a conducive business atmosphere allowing Japanese companies to operate with ease while contributing to the Philippine government’s environmental goals. 

Similarly, Secretary Loyzaga thanked Japan for its cooperation in environment and natural resources-related areas and expressed her enthusiasm for establishing a circular economy, securing natural resources, and tackling climate change issues.

Both pledged to collaborate closely to advance Japan-Philippines relations in the field of environment and natural resources.
