Call for Application: Promotion of Japanese Companies and Japanese Food/Products at the 2025 Japanese National Day Reception

1. Purpose 

The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines will hold the 2025 National Day Reception to celebrate the Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. In order to promote the attractiveness of Japan, we are welcoming companies and organizations that wish to promote their Japan-related products at the reception. 

This reception is expected to be attended by approximately 1,000 guests, including dignitaries from the Philippine political, government, and business sectors, as well as cultural figures, the media, and members of the diplomatic corps. 

 

2. Date and Venue 

February 20, 2025 (Thursday) 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., at Grand Hyatt Manila (BGC). 

 

3. Application Guidelines 

(1) Eligible applicants: 

Japanese companies and other companies/organizations that wish to promote Japan-related products including food and drinks. 

 

(2) Requirements: 

(i) To be able to assign the necessary personnel for PR activities on the day of the reception 

(ii) To be able to obtain the necessary permissions for PR activities (e.g., sanitary permits by the hotel) prior to the reception. 

(iii) To be able to set up within a short time (setup is planned for the same day) 

* Specific conditions will depend on the contents of the PR and will be provided individually after receiving the application. 

 

(3) Application deadline: 

January 8, 2025 (Wednesday) 

 

(4) How to apply: 

Please fill out the form below. 

 

(5) Equipment provided for the booth: 

One (1) table (2.5 x 6 feet) and two (2) chairs 

* Power supply is available upon request. 

* Please note that other necessary equipment and decorations should be provided by each company/organization. 

* Please note that the details are subject to change based on the number of participating companies/organizations and further coordination with the venue, etc. 

 

(6) Examples of PR: 

(i) Offering food and beverage tastings of your own products or handled products 

(ii) Offering opportunities to experience your own products, handled products or services 

(iii) Distributing samples or displaying your own products or handled items 

(iv) Distributing promotional materials (flyers, pamphlets, etc.) 

* Sales are not permitted. 

* Heaters and simple cooking equipment can be used, but the details should be discussed with the hotel. Please consult with the Embassy in advance if you plan to offer food and beverages. 

* The forms of PR are not limited to those listed above, please contact the Embassy directly if you have any other requests. 

 

(7) Costs related to PR 

All costs associated with PR activities, including materials and labor costs, shall be borne by each company/organization. 

 

 (8) Selection criteria: 

The Embassy will select the participating companies/organizations based on comprehensive consideration of consistency with the purpose of the reception, space and other limitations, and past results. In addition, please note that the Embassy will determine the placement of booths. 

 

(9) Responsibility in Case of Accident: 

The Embassy will not be liable for any accidents or damages that may occur in connection with PR activities, including the setup, operation, and dismantling of the PR booth. Please be aware that if any damage occurs to the venue or facilities, you may be charged for repair costs by the venue.
