Ambassador ENDO attends The Manila Times’ Year-End Economic Forum 2025

On 24 October 2025, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya attended The Manila Times’ Year-End Economic Forum 2025 at the Makati Shangri-La. Also in attendance were the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Undersecretary Rolando Toledo, CEO of The Manila Times Ms. Anna Marie Ang-Thompson, and President and COO Ms. Blanca Mercado. 
 

In his remarks, Ambassador Endo highlighted the significance of the thriving economic partnership between Japan and the Philippines in Japan’s three pillars of economic diplomacy, which are maintaining and strengthening an international economic order based on free and fair rules, revitalizing the economy by supporting Japanese companies’ overseas expansion and boosting inbound demand and investment, and enhancing economic security. With the upcoming 70th Anniversary of Japan-Philippines Friendship and the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairmanship in 2026, Ambassador Endo also reaffirmed Japan’s continuous support for the country’s economic development through strengthened economic relations and collaboration.  

With the theme “PH Outlook for 2026: Soaring above dark clouds,” the forum gathered leaders and experts from various industries and sectors to discuss strategic economic opportunities. The forum also aimed to create meaningful high-level dialogue in navigating the modern and complex economic environment.
