Minister YOKOTA Naobumi attends the Second Japan-Philippines Meeting for Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) Towards Emission Reduction

On 6 November 2025, the second meeting of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) between the Philippines and Japan was held online, co-chaired by Embassy of Japan Minister for Economic Affairs YOKOTA Naobumi and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Undersecretary Jonas R. Leones.  

The meeting adopted guidelines necessary for the implementation, including those on reforestation and project idea notes.  

Through the JCM, Japan contributes to the Philippines’ environmental, sustainable, and economic growth, as well as our global efforts to combat climate change.
