Ambassador Endo attends the Enhancing Cyber Resilience: Approach, Responses and Practical Actions Forum

On 20 November 2025, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya attended the “Enhancing Cyber Resilience: Approach, Responses and Practical Actions” Forum. Hosted by the Stratbase Institute for Strategic and International Studies, the forum was held at The Peninsula Manila Hotel in Makati City. Also in attendance was Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda.  
 

The event brought together representatives from the Philippine government, the military, the academe, and the private sector, as well as cybersecurity experts and members of the diplomatic community. With the theme “Enhancing Cyber Resilience,” the forum aimed to share insights on the increasing cybersecurity risks in the Indo-Pacific and the need for strengthened cross-border collaborations to advance cybersecurity in the region. 
 

In his remarks, Ambassador Endo discussed Japan’s efforts to promote the enhancement of cybersecurity capabilities in the ASEAN region, including the Philippines, and expressed his confidence that “our in-depth discussion on concrete responses to cyberattacks, international cooperation and coordination, and capacity building will strengthen our collective efforts and advance the vision of a free, fair, and secure cyberspace for all.” 

The insights gained through the discussions at the forum underscore the shared commitment to promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region through a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.
