Ambassador ENDO attends the Kyushu University Forum: KYUDAI NOW – Manila Edition

On 11 February 2026, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya attended the Kyushu University Forum: KYUDAI NOW – Manila Edition at the Malcolm Theater, University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman, Quezon City. Also in attendance to the event were UP Vice President for Research and Innovation Dr. Joel Joseph S. Marciano Jr. and Kyushu University Vice President Professor SHIMIZU Shuji.

Organized by Kyushu University Institute for Asian and Oceanian Studies (Q-AOS), KYUDAI NOW is an international forum showcasing the latest research conducted by Kyushu University’s faculty and alumni. The event consisted of informative sessions focusing on design, engineering, agriculture, medicine, and career opportunities with Kyushu University education.
In his remarks, Ambassador Endo highlighted the flourishing academic exchanges between the Philippines and Japan. “Such exchanges have woven both innovation and unity into our decades-long friendship. With its culture of excellence, I believe Kyushu University can further expand the fabric of our nations’ shared ambitions,” he stated. Officially endorsed by the Embassy of Japan as part of the celebrations for the 70th Anniversary of Philippines-Japan Friendship, Ambassador Endo also lauded the event for bringing together members of the Kyushu University community from both the Philippines and Japan.
