Ambassador ENDO attends Inauguration of Isla Import LPG Terminals and pays courtesy call on Governor of Batangas

On 20 February 2026, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya attended the Inauguration of the ISLA Import LPG Terminal held in Batangas Province.
In his remarks, Ambassador Endo stated that, as Japan and the Philippines mark the 70th Anniversary of Friendship this year, the inauguration of this terminal represents an important milestone in Japan-Philippines energy cooperation. He expressed his hopes that the LPG shared through this terminal will contribute to improving the quality of life for many Filipinos. Attending the ceremony were Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ma. Cristina Aldeguer-Roque, Batangas City Mayor Mario Vittorio “Marvey” Agregado Mariño, and former Presidential Spokesperson Karlo Nograles.
Ambassador Endo also paid a courtesy call on Batangas Province Governor Vilma Santos-Recto. During the meeting, he requested her support for the stable operation of Japanese companies in Batangas Province and the safety of Japanese nationals residing or staying in the province. They also exchanged views on strengthening relations between the province and Japan in various fields.
