Ambassador ENDO Kazuya and Madame ENDO Akiko attend Japan Foundation Manila’s 30th Anniversary Reception and Stella Dance Jam

On 20 June 2026, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya and Madame ENDO Akiko attended the Stella Dance Jam, organized by the Japan Foundation, Manila at the Theater at Solaire, Parañaque City. The event was also attended by distinguished guests, including Japan Foundation President KUROSAWA Shinya, Japan Foundation, Manila (JFM) Director SUZUKI Ben Department of Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Undersecretary Maria Theresa Dizon-De Vega, and National Commission on Culture and the Arts Chairman Eric Zerrudo.

In his remarks, Ambassador Endo congratulated the Japan Foundation, Manila for celebrating their 30th Anniversary this year. He particularly lauded the organization for their tireless efforts “for being a vital bridge” between Japan and the Philippines through various cultural and people-to-people exchange initiatives. Lastly, he conveyed his optimism that, through events such as this, “our countries’ youth can share lasting friendships and a unified vision.”

Japan Foundation President Kurosawa extended his deepest appreciation to all the partners that have supported Japan Foundation’s cultural activities and initiatives since opening its Manila office in 1996. He also shared that the Foundation’s mission to continue bringing Japan and the Philippines closer together remains unchanged. 
 

After the reception, the highly anticipated collaboration, Stella Dance Jam, was held. The performance featured RIEHATA, a globally-acclaimed dancer and choreographer with roots in both Japan and the Philippines, and SB19, one of the Philippines’ leading P-pop groups. Adding color to the performance, they were joined by the RHT Family, a group produced by RIEHATA, and the young emerging dancers, selected through auditions held in Japan and the Philippines.

This event is part of the celebrations commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Philippines-Japan Friendship. It also served as a vibrant platform for the Japanese and Filipino youth to foster meaningful connections through shared appreciation for pop culture.
